Meet The Founders
Co-Founders, Stephen and Jakob created Local Business Connect with a shared vision: to build a networking community that values consistency, authenticity, and meaningful growth—both personal and professional. They’ve experienced firsthand the power of real connection through business. But they also saw what was missing in so many traditional networking models: flexibility, heart, and a culture built for action-takers—not just attendees. Together, they’re building something different. Something real. A space where people show up, step up, and grow together.
Stephen Bass
With a background in financial planning and a passion for family, service, and creativity, Stephen brings a grounded and visionary approach to Local Business Connect. He’s the builder—the systems thinker, the community cultivator, and the guy who knows how to help people grow, inside and out.
Whether he’s mentoring a new leader, turning wood in his workshop, or guiding a business owner toward a more secure future, Stephen shows up fully. He’s all about balance, intention, and legacy—and that energy shapes the foundation of LBC.
Jakob Holt
Jakob brings heart, focus, and an entrepreneurial mindset to everything he does. He’s the connector—the strategist, encourager, and operator behind the scenes helping to launch new chapters, equip leaders, and guide the growth of the network. Driven by a passion for helping people rise to their potential, Jakob makes sure Local Business Connect doesn’t just scale—it scales well, with purpose and alignment.
